A Little [DR] HistoryThe Drowsy Repairmen [DR] began as an idea: a bunch of high school computer game enthusiasts in Midland, Mich. decided to get together after school to trade put-downs and cyber-bullets for a little fun. So, they set a date and they got ready to LAN. When the fateful day arrived, the founding [DR] members brought their computers and their trigger-fingers to [DR]RaoulA.T.K.O.S.'s basement. Excitement was in the air as the machines were hooked up and everyone got ready to play... ...and nothing worked. Fueled by fury and Mountain Dew, [DR]Cain, [DR]AntiWar, and [DR]Ziro set to work on the machines. Their troubleshooting went on until the wee hours of the morning, when someone made this fateful comment: "It's hard to get things working when all you have is a bunch of drowsy repairmen..." At that moment, the Drowsy Repairmen were born.
Our MissionWe've gotten a little better at running LANs since. Now [DR] is an all-purpose, nation-wide internet and LAN gaming clan. We share a general excitement for games and computers. Our purpose is to provide a forum for game enthusiasts to meet, compete, and have fun. [DR] members are also dedicated to fair play. Organized [DR] events feature an ever-evolving slate of games, but perennial favorites include: Quake III: Arena, Half-Life: Counter-Strike, Diablo II, StarCraft, WarCraft III, Unreal Tournament 2003, America's Army: Operations If you share these interests and goals, check out our member bios and the Join [DR] page.
